The Multipure Aquashower dechlorinating shower filter addresses an issue that many purified water drinkers don't consider. The chlorine in your shower water enters your body through your lungs from the steam and through your expanded pores. Multipure's Aquashower reduces chlorine, for better health, and healthier skin and hair. Color treated hair maintains color better when it is not subjected to chlorine, as well.
This package includes the filter housing, plus two cartridges. The filter housing screws onto your existing pipe that comes out of the wall. It fits a standard 1/2" inch pipe thread. If your shower pipe does not use this standardized pipe thread, you can buy adapters from your local hardware store to make it work. For standard installation, simply unscrew your shower head, screw on the Multipure Aquashower, then screw your shower head onto the end of the Multipure Aquashower.
Processes a minimum of 25,000 gallons. Filter life may be shortened if you have a high sediment content in your water. How long does 25,000 gallons last? This filter flows at 2.5 gallons per minute. If you shower for an average of 10 minutes, that is 25 gallons per shower, and you would change the cartridge after 1000 showers. With additional people using it or longer or shorter showers....you can calculate how often to change it. Installs without tools.
